money for the machine came from a unique, community-minded fundraiser,
work that is at the centre of Hope for Health.
Called a "cause related marketing" initiative, Hope for
Health supporters sold The "Hope" bears and soft animal
figures. The fuzzy items was sold to Hope for Health at a discount
by community-minded companies like GANZ.
The
"Hope" bears were sold to the public. The profit went
towards the $70,000 that was ultimately collected.
