Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto (CHAT)

Our mission at CHAT is one of considering others, one of decency, a willingness to share and to be part of the community. The students of CHAT are constantly raising awareness and funds for various organizations. They have an endless amount of energy and a willingness to raise as much money as possible for as many causes as possible.

I am the Community Service Coordinator at Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto (CHAT). Dr. Erle Strauss approached me approximately 2 years ago, with a proposal to assist H4H in their mission of fundraising & creating awareness in our school.

When I first met with Erle, I understood his passion (for this cause) and his will to give back to others who are battling this devastating illness - I immediately agreed to get involved and welcomed both Erle and H4H into our CHAT "family".
			
			We received our first order of cute, gorgeous and simply irresistible stuffed animals. I wasted no time in  promoting H4H.  It is amazing to see the love and excitement that a little teddy bear or fluffy animal can bring to grown men, women & kids alike.

There are always the few students that stand out and go that extra mile in their dedication to a cause.  I have two such students, Avihayil Genesove and Noah Wallach.  They have spent many of their lunch times walking around the school selling the fluffy animals.  We have raised well over $4,000 since the start of our involvement with H4H.

In conclusion, I would like to say that being part of H4H has been a rewarding and gratifying experience, one I hope will continue for many years to come.
