Dr. Erle Strauss, co-founder of Hope for Health Foundation and patient of Dr. Neil Berinstein, is determined to support health care professionals.It is Strauss' goal to help save other people and raise funds to assist Dr. Neil Berinstein and his staff at The Advanced Therapeutics Program (ATP), a translation research program aimed at developing better treatments for patients with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and other cancers. The treatment explores the use of stem cell transplantation and various immuno-therapeutic approaches as treatments for lymphoma patients. At the presentation this month a state-of-the-art version of a Real Time PCR Machine developed and manufactured by MJ Research Inc. MJ Research, Inc. is a leading manufacturer and suppliier of products for molecular biology. We help scientists throughout the world investigate the nature of DNA and other genetic phenomena. Nancy Pennell, a senior technician working with Dr. Berinstein said that the donation of this sophisticated piece of equipment would allow them to do some very sensitive monitoring on patients who are undergoing stem cell transplantation in The ATP at Sunnybrook & Women's Health Sciences Centre and will allow the program to continue its leading edge cancer research.
